Highlights of Delhi Couture Week

I’m a little late in posting these images but married life is busier than I thought! With the exception of last Sunday, Nouman and I haven’t had a single weekend free in a looong time. Add our work schedules into the mix and we’ve got crazy long days. So yes, I’ve been busier than I was before the wedding – who would’ve thunk it?!

Anyway, here are some of the highlights from Delhi Couture Week! I’m totally into all the lace, black and white and full sleeves.

Manav Gangawi – I love the black and white. Especially the outfit on the right

Gaurav Gupta – I’m not a fan of the yellow/orange outfit but I love the colour!

Varun Bahl – Lace looks hot

Lookie! It’s Madhuri Dixit (she’s my favouritest) wearing Anju Modi

JJ Valaya

JJ Valaya – love the pop of colour. The middle outfit is so different

Sridevi wearing Sabyasachi

Manish Malhotra – I like the idea of having sheer fabric covering the outfit

Manish Malhotra – How stunning is the first outfit?

And lastly…

I can’t decide what I think about this piece from Shantanu and Nikhil’s collection. Definitely eye-catching!

I’m loving all the long open shirts with sharara – how about you?

Indian Bridal Week 2011: Tarun Tahiliani

Hope you all got a chance to read yesterdays post about my collaboration with a wedding website!

Anyway, I thought I’d post more pictures from Indian Bridal Week. Tarun Tahiliani showcased his collection at the finale of Aamby Valley: India Bridal Week. I didn’t love the clothes – nothing I haven’t seen before. I do like some of the soft, pretty colours.

Check out the pictures below!

Indian Bridal Week 2011: Vikram Phadnis

Indian Bridal Week 2011 kicked off last week and is wrapping up today. Over the next few days, I’ll be uploading collections of some of the big designers.

Today’s spotlight is on Vikram Phadnis – while most of these are not my taste, I do like the bold colours!

And this is non-Indian Bridal Week related, but have a look at the bottom of this post for some exciting news! 🙂

Do you recognize who this is? It's Juhi Chawla!!

I am SO excited to share some amazing news with you guys: I’m working on a collaboration with another wedding website – I’ll be posting all the details sometime this week so check back frequently! It’s an amazing website for those who are looking for or want to give reviews about wedding vendors.
